Last updated September 7, 2026. This explains what we collect when you use CitePeek and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Order details: the website URL you submit and the email address for delivery.
- Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers; we store Stripe’s order and payment identifiers and the amount paid.
- Report data: the public pages we fetched from the submitted website, the prompts we generated, and the responses returned by the AI models we query. This is the raw material of your report.
- Technical logs: standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept briefly for security and debugging.
How we use it
To generate and deliver your report, to run the included 45-day re-run, to send transactional emails about your order, and to answer support requests. We do not send marketing email and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
Third parties we rely on
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and email delivery.
- Stripe — payments.
- OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Perplexity — the AI models we query. Prompts sent to them describe your product category and brand; they do not include your email or any personal data.
Retention
Report data is kept so your report link keeps working and so re-runs can be compared with earlier runs. Email us to have a report and its underlying data deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time: hello@citepeek.com.
Cookies
The CitePeek site does not set tracking cookies. Stripe Checkout sets its own cookies during payment, governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
